Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Mount Vernon Tigers will travel to Texarkana to face the Liberty-Eylau Leopards for the second game of district play for 2009. Liberty-Eylau is the Division I representative for District 16-3A. They have more than 800 students. The team faced several 4A schools during pre-season. Even though they did not make the playoffs in 2008, the team has been consistently ranked with the top 20 teams in the state this season.
