It was a tale of two games in the 50-36 loss by the Mount Vernon Tigers to the Pleasant Grove Hawks on Friday in Mount Vernon. During the first 24 minutes of the game, every time the Tigers had possession of the ball, they put points up on the board and controlled the game. In the latter part of the event, Mount Vernon scored once out of nine opportunities, and the Hawks dominated the field. For more details, see the Oct. 29 edition of the Optic-Herald.
