Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The annual Meet the Tigers celebration is set for Saturday, Aug. 7 beginning at 10 a.m. The event provides the first public glimpse of Mount Vernon High School UIL participants for the 2010-2011 school year. An inter-squad football scrimmage will be at 10 a.m. at the football practice field on the south side of the school campus. A pep rally will be conducted in the mall area following the practice at approximately 11:30 a.m. Introductions of football players, cheerleaders, flag team members and band squad leaders will be made.
