Hanna Drabble and Iesha McGill wrestle with an Atlanta player for control of the ball. The Mount Vernon varsity Lady Tiger basketball team continued working their way through District 16-3A opponents and defeated both the Pittsburg Lady Pirates and the Atlanta Lady Rabbits.
The Lady Tigers are currently in second place in district rankings behind Liberty Eylau. On the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches rankings, Mount Vernon is rated in 11th place and Liberty Eylau has moved up to 12th in the state poll.
