District competition for 15-3A football will begin on Friday. The teams are ranked in Texas 3A football on the Harris Weekly Ratings as follows: Liberty Eylau - 55, Paris - 61, Pleasant Grove - 73, North Lamar - 95, Atlanta - 98, and Mount Vernon - 113. The Mount Vernon Tiger football team will face the Pleasant Grove Hawks on their home field on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Harris ratings has chosen the Hawks as a 15 point favorite in the game.
