It is time for summer league softball and baseball in Franklin County, and the Franklin County Youth Baseball/Softball Association is scheduling events to get the season started.
A coaches meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15 in the Mount Vernon ISD Cafeteria. Anyone interested in coaching a team this year is encouraged to attend the meeting to help with organization for the upcoming season.
Sign-ups for students interested in playing ball this year will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 in the south lobby of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 in the Mount Vernon High School Gym foyer.
Other coaching meetings and try-outs for the season will be conducted later this month.
