The Mount Vernon Junior High eighth grade Lady Tiger basketball team finished second at the Mount Vernon Tournament Nov. 11-13 in Tiger Gym. The seventh grade Lady Tigers basketball team competed at the home tournament and lost three games. The teams played their first district games against Paris on Monday, Nov. 15. The teams are scheduled to play Liberty Eylau in Tiger Gym on Monday, Nov. 22 starting at 4:30 p.m. For more information, see the Nov. 18 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
