The Mount Vernon junior varsity Tigers competed in the Cooper Tournament Dec. 2-4 and finished in second place.
The team faced Wolfe City in the first game and won 33-16. They played Cooper in their second game and won 35-29 before losing in the finals to Paris Chisum 19-40. For more information, see the Dec. 9 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
