Rain in the Liberty area has caused a delay of today's Dixie Youth Darlings State Tournament. The Mount Vernon team's game scheduled for 9 a.m. has been postponed to at least 1 p.m. today - Tuesday.

The Mount Vernon Darling All Star team moved up in the state tournament after their round four win over Pineland. The Darling Tigers won 18-5 over the Pineland Darlings Monday night, July 18. The team is to play again at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The Mount Vernon Darling All Star team won round three of the Dixie Youth Darlings State Tournament with a 22-6 defeat of the Tri-Cities All Stars on Monday morning. They will play again tonight.

The Mount Vernon Darling All Star team lost the second round of the Dixie Youth Darlings State Tournament with a 25-7 dredging by the Liberty All Stars on Sunday night, July 17. The team will play again Monday morning.

The Mount Vernon Darling All Star team won the first round of the Dixie Youth Darlings State Tournament Saturday, July 16. They defeated Onalaska 12-5.
They play round two of the tournament at 8 p.m. Sunday.
