East Texas Tide ‘98 took first place in the “September Slam” softball tournament in Pittsburg September 10.
Scores for the games in bracket play were East Texas Tide 8 vs. Causin Chaos 2 and East Texas Tide 4 vs, Lady Tigers 3. The team took first place in Carthage August 20 and third place in Longview Sept. 3. For more information, see the September 22 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
