Members of the Mount Vernon Junior High eighth grade volleyball team placed second at their home tournament on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The team beat Mount Pleasant and Prairiland and lost a game to Pittsburg. The team received a trophy for their efforts. The team lost to Liberty Eylau in games on Monday, Sept. 12.
