The East Texas Shockers baseball team won second place in the World Series in Marshall Oct. 22-23. The team beat Kilgore 13-3, Hugues Springs 17-0, Paris 7-3, Hallsville, 7-5, Paris again 12-2, and lost in the championship game to Spring Hill 7-6. Twelve teams competed in the World Series from all over East Texas. Local members of the East Texas Shockers are Landon Wallace and Noah Bristow.
