The Saltillo Lady Lions basketball team received the Regional Championship trophy on Saturday, Feb. 23 after defeating the Coolidge Lady Jackets 54-42 at Tyler Junior College.
The Lady Lions will advance to the State tournament to be conducted in Austin, Feb. 28 through March 2. Accepting the trophy for Saltillo, front row, assistant coach Bryan Jones, Claire Jones, Clarissa Gamez, Hannah Wade, Katlyn Gurley, back row, Haylee Clover, Ariel Tippit, Chelsea Moore, Victoria Stretcher, Ragan Rutherford, Karli Brewer, Andrea Tippit, Paula Boekhorst, Kendall Bain, and head coach Garry Davison.
