City clean-up begins April 2

The City of Mount Vernon  will begin its week-long clean up effort Saturday, April 2, and continue Monday through Saturday, April 9.

Winners of the 5K color run.Winners of the 5K color run received medals and prizes. Landon Price was the first runner to finish with a time of 18.47, Shannon Hassell was second at 23.17, and Alex Nunn was third at 24:11.

Cooks sought for local barbecue cook-off
