Marley Tunnell wins Weiner Dog Race

Weiner Dog Race winners were Mary and Michelle Tunnell with Marley, Sheila Burnett with Dudley and  Lee and Uri Kenemore with Duffey.Marley, belonging to Mary and Michelle Tunnell, was the top dog at the second annual Weiner Dog Race as a part of the CountryFest celebration on Sunday, October 11.

Guaranty Bank and Giles take top honors in stew cook off

CountryFest 2014 Stew Cook Off winners  of the beef and chicken divisionsGuaranty Bank and Trust claimed top honors in the chicken stew contest, and Keke Giles was first in the beef stew contest. A total of 11 cooking teams competed in the 30th annual CountryFest Stew Cook Off Contest.

County considering lease of hospital building Thursday

Call to avoid delays for blood donation

Area residents are asked to help save lives by giving blood. Time slots are now being reserved for the Carter BloodCare blood drive at the church of Christ between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 1.

DeLobel is new police officer
