CountryFest celebrating 40th year all day Saturday

Call to avoid delays for blood donation

Area residents are asked to help save lives by giving blood. Time slots are now being reserved for the Carter BloodCare blood drive at the church of Christ between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 1.

Stew Contest entry deadline approaches

The deadline to enter the 30th annual CountryFest Stew Cook-off is Friday, October 10. Thus far, four entries have registered for the contest. “We really need to secure as many cooking teams as possible,” Chamber manager Diane Newsom said.
