Local supporters honored for $50,000 in contributions

Contributors to the United Way campaignThe United Way of Franklin County, Texas honored business and group supporters for their expected contributions of $50,000 in funds during 2013.

The recognitions were made during the organization’s annual dinner Tuesday, August 27 at the First United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center. Those receiving plaques were, front row, Vicki Bond for the Order of the Eastern Star, Franklin County Treasurer Betty Sue Allen, Mefedith Reed for Jordan Health Services, back row, J.R. Duckworth for the Masonic Lodge, MVISD Superintendent John Kaufman, Franklin County Justic of the Peace Jim Alford, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Marrs, and Troy Sellers for Luminant.
