Head Start gets new stove

An anonymous donor provided a new stove for the kitchen at the Mount Vernon Head Start program center. An anonymous donor provided a new stove for the kitchen at the Mount Vernon Head Start program center.  The GE 30 inch self-cleaning stove was recently delivered free by Lowe’s Store employees (rear).

Accepting the delivery were Mable Monroe, cook at the local site, and student McKenzie Kruse (front). A warranty was included on the stove, which is valued at $500.  “We are very grateful for this
donation, and it will help our program tremendously,” stated Marco Alcarez, director for the local center.
