The Lodge at the Hageman Reserve rises above the bluff where the original town of Sulphur Bluff was built in the 1840s. The private hunting club plans to open in November for wing shooting, sporting clays, archery, and fishing.
“After owning the Ranch for a couple of years we realized in addition to being a productive farm and cattle ranch it had excellent hunting and fishing opportunities,” owner Steve Hageman said. For details about the reserve and their plans, see the June 26 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
