The Franklin County Genealogical Society took possession of its second building Monday, July 7, according to organization President Martha Hare. The building is targeted for an expansion of the Society’s operations.
The group’s new acquisition is located on the west side of its headquarters building at 110 E. Main St. For details about the transaction and a history of this building, see the July 17 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
