The Region C Water Planning Group (Dallas area) plans to appoint mediators to resolve the conflict over the construction of Marvin Nichols Reservoir. The action is planned at their meeting at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5,
at the Trinity River Authority’s Central Wastewater Treatment Plant in Grand Prairie. The conflict lies between the Region C water plan, which calls for the building of the lake, and the local northeast Texas Region D plan, which flatly opposes the lake’s construction.
