The Franklin County Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) Board is expected to propose changes in their allocation process. The changes are to be outlined to members of the Franklin County Commissioners Court at their meeting at 9 a.m. Monday, August 26
at the East Courthouse Annex. Members of the board expressed concern over allocation requests that came to the board haphazardly throughout the year. See the August 22 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details.
