A one year contract with Brinson Benefits was approved by the Franklin County Commissioners Court Monday in an effort to cut healthcare costs. The company initially priced their services at $42,000 annually.
However, they pledged that this year the cost would be no more than the fees and commissions paid by the county for their current insurance services through all the providers. For details from the meeting, see the September 26 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
