The current city ordinance on wine and beer sales does not affect wineries or private clubs, City Administrator Tony Stonecypher told the council at their regular monthly meeting.
Mr. Stonecypher relayed his findings to the council after discussing concerns with both the city attorney, Stan Lowry, and attorneys with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC). “We are fine for the operation of wineries according to the TABC,” noted Mr. Stonecypher.
