No action was taken this week by members of the Franklin County Commissioner’s Court on an agenda item requesting approval of a county road in the northwest portion of the county.
That left access to private property and concerns over public access to private property in the hands of the property owners involved. Commissioner Danny Chitsey asked for the designations after questions about whether or not a lane between CR NW1091 and 1040 was considered a private road, public road or county road. See the March 27 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details from the meeting.
