Recent updates in the CodeRED Emergency Notification System software will require verification of information and map coordinates for some Franklin County citizens.
The new software update will now allow individuals to more accurately place their home or business on the mapping system. Because of our rural area, the standardized maps are not as accurate as needed for efficient use of the system. Without citizen’s homes and business identified on the map accurately, they could miss receiving the targeted notices sent through the system. See the April 10 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for detailed instructions to update your listing.
