The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is at work again improving roadways in Northeast Texas. Included in the 2014 summer upgrades are three county road bridges in Franklin and Hopkins counties at a cost of more than $683,000.
TxDOT and county officials have announced bridge and approach replacements at Franklin County Road NW1019 at Big Creek. The work on Hopkins County Roads are bridges on 4124 at Big Creek (CR 431-1), and 4777 at Vaden Creek (CR 489-1). For more information, see the June 12 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
