Concerns for human safety caused a Paris contractor to contact the Optic-Herald after spotting a 10 foot long adult alligator on Lake Bob Sandlin in Franklin County last week. The reptile was spotted off Maple Drive in what locals now call Alligator Cove on the FM 1519 arm of Lake Bob Sandlin. Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Doyle Brown identified it as an American Alligator and stated that numerous sightings had been reported over the years.
