Ricky Jones took time out of his schedule on Saturday, June 2 to stop in and donate blood at the Carter Blood Care drive at the Mount Vernon Fire Department. He donated platlets at the event. Platelets can only be given every 120 days. Mr. Jones is a regular donor. Eighteen people offered blood at the drive, but only 16 people were eligible. Mission Manor Nursing Home conducted a blood drive on Tuesday, June 5. A total of 15 people offered blood for donation, but only 10 people were eligible.
