The Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department recently purchased a thermal imaging device.
They received the equipment last week and it is now in service for countywide use by the local fire departments. First Assistant Fire Chief Jeremy Cox and Fire Chief Robert Zinn demonstrate the use of the department’s new thermal imaging device. At left, the machine shows a hand print place on the wall and the temperature at the point of imaging. For more information, see the June 14 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
