The Texas Historical Commission (THC) recognized Franklin County with the 2011 Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented during the Commissioner’s Court meeting on the Monday, July 9. This is the sixth consecutive year for the Franklin County Historical Commission (FCHC) to earn the award, according to Chairman B. F. Hicks. Judge Paul Lovier presents the Distinguished Service Award to B. F. Hicks and other members of the Historical Commission.
