COPsync system sought in Homeland Security Grant

The Franklin County Emergency Management office and local law enforcement have applied for an $149,243.05 grant to purchase 17 laptop computers equipped with the  COPsync technology. The units would be used in conjunction with existing video cameras in both the county and city patrol units. For more information, see the May 16 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
