Yearbooks are here

The 2013 Mount Vernon High School yearbooks have arrived. Last year’s senior students and those in school should visit the high school commons area between the times of 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. to obtain their copies of the yearbook. Uniforms debuted, tailgating party set

Mighty Tiger Marching BandMembers of the Mighty Tiger Marching Band proudly debuted their new band uniforms during halftime of Tigers vs Bulldogs game. They will be hosts for a tailgating party Friday evening prior to the start of the Mount Vernon versus Winnsboro football game.

Wilson receives Shell award

Billy Wilson, second from right, accepted a plaque and $750 check at the annual meeting of the Texas Regional Collaboratives upon receiving the Shell Teaching Excellence AwardBilly Wilson was recognized by the MVISD Board of Trustees as the 2013 recipient of the Shell Teaching Excellence Award for Science from the Texas Regional Collaboratives.
