MVISD tax rate set 2c higher

The Mount Vernon School Board adopted a total tax ordinance of $1.2889 for 2017 during their regular monthly meeting on Monday, August 21.

Attendance at MVISD decreases from last year

Attendance for the first day of school at Mount Vernon ISD decreased by 15 students from the first day of classes last year.

Eleven new faces join Winfield ISD
