Destination Imagination team to perform at library

Members of the Mount Vernon School Board voted 5-1 to contract with the Texas Association of School Boards to conduct an employee opinion survey during May.

Walk and Talk bond meeting Monday

Mount Vernon ISD is opening its doors for a Walk and Talk presentation for the upcoming bond election on Monday, April 28 at 6 p.m. All interested parties should meet in front of the school’s auditorium.

One Act Play advances to Region

One Act Paly cast & crewThe Mount Vernon High School One Act Play has advanced to the Regional Competition set for Thursday, May 1  at Tyler Junior College. “We are one of 24 teams left competing this year,” OAP director Terry McGonagill said.

Destination Imagination team is going global

Members of the Destination Imagination team.The seventh and eighth grade Destination Imagination (DI) team is going global! The team finished in the top six at the state competition in Pflugerville on April 12.
