Large turnout decides school board seats

Brook Bussell, Mellisa Dunavant and Josh Jordan were elected to the Mount Vernon ISD Board of Trustees in the largest number of votes cast for a non-bond election in the past 10 years.

FFA CDE teams compete at State

Saltillo State UIL

Michael SimmonsMichael Simmons of Saltillo High School claimed second place at the Regional UIL Academic contest. He earned the right to advance to the State UIL contest on Friday, April 21, where he won 10th place.
