One Act Play cast members perform a scene from this year’s presentation.The cast and crew for the Mount Vernon High School claimed first place at the Regional event and will advance to the State Competition May 20 in Austin.

FFA Nursery Landscape Team members, front row, Brynn Watson, Julia Minter, back row, Hylke Talsma and Brandon Williams, qualified to advance to the State competition.The Mount Vernon FFA Nursery Landscape Team placed fifth overall at the Area VI FFA judging contests recently at Texas A&M - Commerce and at Sulphur Springs.
