Wilson receives Shell award

Billy Wilson, second from right, accepted a plaque and $750 check at the annual meeting of the Texas Regional Collaboratives upon receiving the Shell Teaching Excellence AwardBilly Wilson was recognized by the MVISD Board of Trustees as the 2013 recipient of the Shell Teaching Excellence Award for Science from the Texas Regional Collaboratives.

“I was not aware I was even nominated until they announced my name at a luncheon in Austin,” Mr. Wilson said. “I was stunned.” Billy Wilson, second from right, accepted a plaque and $750 check at the annual meeting of the Texas Regional Collaboratives upon receiving the Shell Teaching Excellence Award for Science. He teaches science at Mount Vernon Junior High and was nominated for the award by the Region VIII Science team.
