Award-winning author Rosalie T. Turner recently presented a program on the early days of desegregation in America. Mrs. Turner based her talk on her own experiences during that time, which she has detailed in her latest book, Come March With Me, published in 2013. It is a story about the establishment of civil rights legislation, with the cold and sometimes brutal facts about racial hatred of those days See the April 17 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more information about this presentation.
