Whitehurst, Proffitt win 2014 Civil War Journal Contest

The awards were presented at a dinner Monday, May 19 at the Senior Meal Center. Members of the sponsoring Franklin County Historical Association’s Board of Directors and officers served as hosts. The winners in the 17th annual Civil War Journal writing contest were, front row, Kassie Whitehurst, Kaden Proffitt, Tyler Duenkel, back row, Rae Asay, Bayleigh Burling, Alissa Hill, Mikayla Marlowe and Yoceline Narvaez. Not pictured are Mason Lowery and Brent Baird. The awards were presented at a dinner Monday, May 19 at the Senior Meal Center.
