Meningitis vaccinations required for college students

A new Texas law requires first-time college students under the age of 30 to receive a bacterial meningitis vaccination prior to enrolling in classes. The law applies to students enrolling in the Spring 2012 term and beyond. For more information about the vaccine and where they may be obtained, see the January 12 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
