New profiles available at Tell the Truth Texas

To help Texans better understand fiscal realities at the state and local government levels, the Texas Comptroller's office has posted new Debt-at-a-Glance profiles for the state and Texas' most populous cities and counties.
Visit the site and click around a bit to learn interesting facts about state and local community obligations. At the city and county levels, individuals can even see per capita debt — how much each resident would have to pay to settle the entity's total debt. See how various city and county debts compare to similar entities in the state.
Contact the Comptroller's office with comments or questions. Citizen input is invaluable in the process of creating and refining Web resources that help people to understand government debt.
