Public Notice - Advertisement and Invitation for Bids - 6/15/2017

Cypress Springs Special Utility District will receive bids on behalf of Franklin County, Texas for Contract 1 - Materials Only for Water System Improvements, STEP #7216016 until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017.

The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time on that date at the office of Cypress Springs SUD, located at 114 FM 115, Mount Vernon, TX  75457.

The project will consist of supplying materials only for approximately 53,500 LF of 4”-6” water main and related appurtenances.  Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at Hayes Engineering, Inc., 2126 Alpine St., Longview, TX  75601, (903) 758-2010.  Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents/Plans may be obtained for $30 (no refunds) from the Engineer.

A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000].  A certified check or bank draft payable to the Franklin County, Texas or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.

Cypress Springs SUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.  Bids may be held by the Cypress Springs SUD for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
