Services for Lougay Edge Brown, age 55, were at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 at Lone Star Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hampton officiating.

Funeral services for Truman Adams, age 93 of Mount Vernon, were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Mount Vernon City Cemetery with Rev. Pepper Puryear officiating.

Faye Sloan, a long-time Mount Vernon resident, died Sunday. Her funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at the Harvey Funeral Home. She will be buried in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, next to her husband, Guy.

A memorial service for Robbie Morris Bartley, age 85 of Denton, were at 11 a.m. Saturday,  Nov. 6, 2010 at Cooper Creek Baptist Church. Dr. Rick Montgomery and Rev. Bobby Bryan officiated.

Funeral services for Charles Guest, age 82 of Bogata, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at the Cuthand United Methodist Church with Rev. John Purviance officiating.
