Funeral services for Larkin Drummond, age 80 of Winnsboro, will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edgar Clements officiating.
Burial will follow at the Macon Cemetery.
Mr. Drummond was born Jan. 23, 1933 in Franklin County to Damon Robert and Aileen Kyser Drummond. He married Joy Overby on May 23, 1959 in Commerce. Upon retirement, he was serving as the Superintendent of Harts Bluff ISD. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He also served in the National Guard and retired in 1994.
He died Sunday, June 9 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Drummond of Winnsboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Rebecca Drummond of Canton; his daughters and sons-in-law, Maier and Randy Porter of Winnsboro and Ginger and Brodie Davis of Cleveland, S. C.; a brother, Keith Drummond of Nashville, Tenn.; his sisters, Lynn Parr of Mount Pleasant and Doris Stone of Red Oak; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Michael Parr, Stanley Townsend, Richard Porter, Roy Hipp, Chuck Marosek, Gene Parr, and Daniel Crooks.
