A celebration of the life of Jack Miller, age 81 of Mount Vernon, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20 at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon.
Mr. Miller was born March 21, 1932 to Marion and Zula Miller in Pittsburgh, Pa. He attended Rutgers University and the Milwaukee School of Engineering where he graduated with a bachelors of science in electrical engineering. He married Helen Elizabeth Laws in 1955 and raised four boys. He married Victoria Ann Hebert in 1994 and embraced her two girls. He worked at the American Electric Power Company, Charles T. Main Consulting, Ebasco Electric Utility Consultants, and Cajun Electric where he retired as the vice-president of rates, regulations and planning. He was a student of and provided ministry throughout his life; some of the leadership roles included Stephens Minister, Deacon, and Elder.
He died Saturday, July 6.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Miller of Scroggins; his sons and daughters-in-law, Rich and Sarah Miller of Fort Wayne, Ill., Dave and Diane Miller of San Diego, Calif., Allan and Julie Miller of Dayton, Ohio, and Jon Miller of Louiville, Ky.; his daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Ken Duggan of Dallas, and Kristi and George Lobrano of Atlanta, Ga.; twelve grandchildren, and his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Bev Miller of Panama City, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon, for either the Stephens Ministry or Music funds.
