Funeral services for Jessie Ragsdale, age 65 of Winfield, were at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. Burial was in the Winfield Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Thomas and Bro. Randy Dunn officiating.
Mr. Ragsdale was born March 31, 1948 in Pittsburg to Jessie and Maudie Phillips Ragsdale. He was a retired supervisor at Pilgrim’s, attended Northeast Texas Bikers Church, and was a member of the Winfield Fire Department.
He died Thursday, Oct. 17 in Mount Pleasant. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Chad Ragsdale, his step-father, Kenneth Marrs; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, J. B. and Juanita Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jan Thomas of Winfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Patricia Ragsdale of Mount Vernon; a daughter-in-law, Carla Ragsdale of Winfield; six grandchildren, his brothers-in-law, Jim Thomas of Houston and Jerry and Brenda Thomas of Houston; a sister-in-law, Jenni Thomas of Mount Vernon; and special friends, Jeau Byais, Julio Rodriguez, and the ladies of Pilgrim’s.
