Graveside services for Leonard L. Rollins, age 88 of Mount Pleasant were Monday Feb. 17, 2014 at the Friendship Cemetery in Mount Vernon with Bro. Glen Connell and Bro. Kerry Ademek officiating.
Mr. Rollins was born on Feb. 24, 1925 in Mount Vernon Tex. to Butler Marcellus and Fannie Samuels Rollins, He married Betty Huddleston on March 7, 1947 and was a retired teacher, coach and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Rollins died on Feb. 14 in Mount Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Louie Morse Rollins and Lonnie Rollins; and a sister Lillie Mae Rollins.
He is survived by his wife Betty Rollins of Mount Pleasant, their children; Susan Rollins Duncan and husband, Eric, of North Richland Hills Tex., and Scott Rollins and wife, Debra, of Wills Point Tex., seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a nephew.
Memorials can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church in Talco.
