Leamon Roberson, Jr. died Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Mount Pleasant, He was born September 26, 1935 in Mount Vernon to LeamonRoberson, Sr. and Alice Magnolia (Evans) Roberson.
Mr. Roberson attended Mount Vernon schools and was a member of the Denton Baptist Church, Mount Vernon, where he served as a deacon and also sang in the choir. He retired from Brooksey Crow Construction Company as a machine operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters Dorothy McCoo, Alice Linwood, Theresa Pope, and Catherine Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Ann Roberson of Mount Vernon; three sons and two daughters-in-law Leamon Roberson, III and Clara Roberson, Fredrick Roberson, Timothy and Staci Roberson all of St. Louis, Mo; three daughters Velma Vines of St. Louis, Mo; Phyllis Dunlap and Carol Gadlin both of Mount Vernon; eleven grandchildren eight great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law Gary and Doris Roberson of Mount Vernon; Thurman Roberson of Marshall, Tex.; aunt Dorothy Nell Dunlap of Mount Vernon; uncle Eddie Evans, Jr. of Denton, Tex.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
