Graveside services for Janice Norman, age 88 of Mount Vernon, were at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Providence Cemetery with Rev. Shiles Hubbell officiating.
Mrs. Norman was born Feb. 21, 1922 in Mount Vernon to H. G. Rogers and Annie Merrill Rogers. She was married to Gaston Norman. She died Friday, July 2 in Mount Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Durene Morris; and two brothers, Larry and Howard Wayne Rogers. She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Henderson of Mount Pleasant; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Jim Haltom of Cleveland, Tex.; a granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
