Loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, Narvonna Louise Hawthorne was born on March 23, 1943 in Ludlow, OK to Sherman King Smith and Dorcie Lene Nelson Smith. She passed away in Longview, TX on July 3, 2010 at the age of 67. Narvonna is survived by her husband, Billy Joe “Bill” Hawthorne; her children Billy Don Hawthorne; James DeWayne Hawthorn and wife, Jam; Shelly Kaye McCarter; Brian Keith Hawthorne and wife, Rhonda; H.D. (Dewey) Smith; her brother, Carl Wayne Smith; her sisters, Jewel Loraine Donica; and Judy Ann Steed; her grandchildren, Corbin, Corey, Brenna, Robert, Kailey, Kelsey, Ariel, Aryn and Rachel and numerous other family members and friends who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Deland Smith; an infant sister, Bonnie Smith; and one brother, Sherman Wad Smith. Narvonna loved camping, cooking out, planning meals, working outdoors, gardening and was affectionately known as “Camp Boss”. Narvonna was a seamstress for 12 years for Henson-Kickernick. Services will be held at Little Chapel by the Lake, Colonial Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Campbell officiating. Visitation will be at Sullivan Funeral Home on Monday, July 5, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marty Smith, Carl Donica, Steve Allen, Ryan Allen Jesse Smith and Robert Smith.
